Tether USDUSDT
Tether USD (USDT) is a U.S. dollar stablecoin issued by Tether through Tether International, S.A. de C.V. Each token is redeemable one-for-one for U.S. dollars and is a direct claim on the issuer. Reserves are held in bank deposits, cash, crypto assets, other assets, precious metals, repurchase agreements, secured loans, and Treasury bills, attested quarterly by BDO Italia. Holders can mint and redeem directly with Tether in USD after completing KYC, and holders have a contractual right to redeem at par. Tether International, S.A. de C.V. is incorporated in El Salvador and is supervised by El Salvador's National Commission of Digital Assets (CNAD). Holder terms are governed by the law of the British Virgin Islands, with disputes heard in the United Kingdom. USDT has been issued on public blockchains since November 2017 and is native to 12 networks, including Ethereum, Tron, Polkadot AssetHub, Solana, Avalanche, and OP Mainnet, with bridged versions on ten more.
