A holder of EURD receives a digital token whose economic value references the Euro (EUR) on a one-to-one basis. The reference asset is the Euro, and the token is backed by EUR cash and cash equivalents held in segregated accounts. The token does not accrue interest to the holder, so the holder's economic exposure tracks the value of the Euro itself rather than any yield generated by the underlying reserve assets.

The issuer is Quantoz Payments B.V., a payments company formed in the Netherlands. The reserve backing the token consists of EUR cash and cash equivalents maintained in segregated accounts at regulated European financial institutions, an arrangement structured to keep reserve assets distinct from the issuer's own balance sheet for the benefit of tokenholders. The holder's claim references the value of the Euro through the reserves held against the outstanding token supply. Quantoz Payments B.V. holds and administers these reserves on behalf of tokenholders and operates the issuance and redemption of the token from its Netherlands base.

EURD is issued onchain as a Euro-referencing stablecoin on supported public networks. New tokens are created against incoming reserve value and removed from supply when reserves are returned, so the circulating token supply corresponds to the EUR cash and cash equivalents held in the segregated reserve accounts administered by the issuer.

Quantoz

Quantoz EURD (EURD) is a euro stablecoin issued by Quantoz through Quantoz Payments B.V.

Each token is redeemable one-for-one for euros and is a direct claim on the issuer.

Reserves are held in segregated accounts within a bankruptcy-remote structure.

Custody of the reserves rests with Stichting Quantoz.

Retail investors and institutions can mint and redeem directly with Quantoz in EUR after completing KYC, and holders have a contractual right to redeem at par.

Quantoz Payments B.V. is incorporated in the Netherlands, is authorised under MiCA, and is supervised by the De Nederlandsche Bank (DNB) and the Netherlands Authority for the Financial Markets (AFM).

Holder terms are governed by the law of the Netherlands.

EURD has been issued on Algorand as an Algorand Standard Asset token since October 2023.
