WPEN, issued by Moonbird S.R.L. under the Ripio brand, is a fiat-pegged stablecoin that maintains 1:1 parity with the Peruvian sol and is backed by fiat reserves held in local bank accounts. [S1][S2][S3]

Each WPEN token tracks the Peruvian sol at a 1:1 ratio and is backed by fiat reserves held in a Peruvian bank account, with collateral attested and certified by local public accountants and issuance and burn data verifiable onchain. [S2][S4] The token is price-tracking and does not itself disclose an embedded yield. [S2][S3] Holders can send and receive without additional fees, though network gas costs may apply. [S2]

The Ripio platform is operated by Moonbird S.R.L., an Argentine entity registered as a Virtual Asset Service Provider (PSAV) under N° 36, dated June 5, 2024. [S1][S5] Ripio's Argentine terms state the tokens are not a negotiable value, security, or commodity. [S5] Moonbird is not authorized to operate as a financial entity by the Central Bank of the Argentine Republic (BCRA), and balances do not constitute deposits or carry such guarantees. WPEN is an ERC-20 standard token. [S4] The Ripio Bridge supports WPEN across Ethereum, World Chain, Base, Polygon, Gnosis and Binance/BNB Smart Chain.
