BSFG-KES-1, issued by the PACT Protocol smart contracts under the governance of PACT DAO tokenholders, is a tokenized private credit position representing a fractional interest in an emerging market credit facility settled onchain [S1][S2].

The token references the Berkeley Square Kenya Retail Portfolio 1, an emerging market credit facility structured as a programmable onchain debt instrument. PACT operates onchain microcredit infrastructure providing origination, servicing, and repayments for entrepreneurs and community investment, with lending settled in stablecoins [S1][S3]. Holders gain economic exposure to the credit facility through this onchain debt position serviced and repaid via stablecoin settlement [S1].

PACT presents itself as the PACT Foundation, a community-governed protocol whose direction is set by tokenholders rather than a single named corporate entity, and the issuer pattern is decentralized [S1][S2]. The protocol evolved from the former ImpactMarket universal basic income project into onchain microcredit under the PACT Foundation brand [S1]. Membership in the PACT DAO is open to anyone who holds and stakes the native $PACT token, which functions as the governance and coordination layer of the protocol with rights to propose, vote on, and implement protocol upgrades [S2].

The documented token-side mechanic is the one-way bridge migrating $PACT from the Celo network to the Aptos network, accessed via the official bridge application, after which tokens cannot be returned to Celo [S4]. Protocol credit operations run as onchain origination, servicing, and repayment with stablecoin settlement [S1]. Supported networks named on the issuer domain are Celo and Aptos [S4].
