BSFG-AD-1, issued by the PACT Protocol smart contracts under the governance of PACT DAO tokenholders, is a tokenized private credit position representing a fractional interest in an emerging market credit facility structured as a programmable onchain debt instrument [S1][S2].

The token tracks the Berkeley Square UAE SME Portfolio 1, an emerging market credit fund extending financing to small and medium enterprises. Economic returns derive from the protocol's onchain microcredit origination, servicing, and repayments, with lending settled in stablecoins [S1]. The PACT Protocol facilitates high-frequency microcredit and stablecoin-settled lending for emerging markets, evolved from the former ImpactMarket project [S1].

PACT operates as a community-governed protocol whose direction is conducted by PACT DAO tokenholders rather than a single named corporate entity, and the PACT Foundation describes its mission as enabling accessible microfinance through decentralized technology and a microcredit program supporting entrepreneurs and community investment [S1][S2][S3]. Membership in the PACT DAO is open to anyone who holds and stakes the native $PACT asset, which holders lock to gain voting power and rights to propose, vote on, and implement protocol upgrades [S2]. Credit operations are described generally as onchain origination, servicing, repayments, and stablecoin settlement [S1].

The native $PACT asset was originally issued on the Celo network and has since been made available on the Aptos network through a one-way migration, after which holdings cannot be returned to Celo, accessed via the official bridge application [S4]. During migration, governance voting initially remained on Celo, with full governance migration to Aptos planned [S4].
