CZUSD, issued by the CZodiac Protocol smart contracts under the governance of CZODIAC tokenholders, is a U.S. dollar (USD) referenced stablecoin that the issuer presents as an unstablecoin trading around but never exactly $1 [S1][S2].

Holders receive a BEP-20 token referencing the U.S. dollar (USD), backed by BNB reserves rather than fiat, with value managed algorithmically by the CZUSD Gate that mints CZUSD for deposited BNB and burns CZUSD swapped back to BNB, using Chainlink oracles to keep CZUSD near $1 via arbitrage with decentralized exchanges such as PancakeSwap [S2]. CZUSD pays no native yield; the separate CzusdNotes product lets holders lock CZUSD to earn lending interest [S3].

No formal legal entity, country of incorporation, or regulator is named; the issuer operates under the trade name CZODIAC, and CZUSD is not issued by a single corporate entity but by protocol smart contracts [S1][S4]. The Terms of Use classify CZODIAC tokens as utility tokens that are not designed to represent securities, grant no rights to equity, governance, or profits, and make no profit guarantees [S4]. CZODIAC reserves the right to restrict access from certain jurisdictions, and users remain solely responsible for their securities-law status [S4]. Assets and admin keys are secured by a Gnosis Treasury Safe, a 3/6 multisig on BNB Chain [S2].

CZUSD is a BEP-20 token on BNB Chain (BSC), with the broader ecosystem operating on the same network [S1][S2]. Minting and redemption settle onchain through the CZUSD Gate, where BNB deposits mint new CZUSD and CZUSD swaps for BNB burn it, with Chainlink oracles dynamically adjusting rates and slippage to hold CZUSD near $1 [S2]. Settlement is effectively immediate per transaction [S2].
