USDB, issued by BRAZA BANK S.A. Banco de Câmbio, is a stablecoin that tracks the U.S. dollar (USD) at a fixed 1:1 ratio for institutional cross-border payments and USD-denominated savings access in Latin America [S1].

Each USDB token represents a claim convertible into U.S. dollars (USD) at par, with the holder receiving a static 1:1 peg rather than any yield, NAV accrual, rebasing, or coupon pass-through [S1]. USDB is stated to be 100% backed by assets including U.S. and Brazilian government securities, USD and other fiat deposits, short-term government securities and commercial paper, FX-hedged reserves, and collateralized loan receivables originated by Braza; its reserve interest is not passed through to tokenholders [S1].

The issuer is BRAZA BANK S.A. Banco de Câmbio, a foreign-exchange bank incorporated in Brazil and authorized by the Banco Central do Brasil (Central Bank of Brazil), institution no. 128 [S2]. USDB is presented as a digital currency exchangeable for USD at 1:1 [S1]. Access runs through institutional channels and the Braza On retail app under integrated KYC, AML, and KYT processes and sanctions compliance [S3][S1]. USDB can be purchased, stored, and converted back into Brazilian reais (BRL) at any time [S1]. Reserve custody is described as guaranteed by a national Brazilian institution, with reserves equal to or exceeding circulating supply [S1][S4].

USDB is issued natively on the XRP Ledger (XRPL) [S1]. Tokens are minted when customers deposit fiat with Braza and burned on redemption; retail mint and redeem occurs via the Braza On app and institutional via Braza Bank and Braza Crypto [S1][S5]. Onchain FX conversions are described as settling in under two minutes [S3]. The peg is a fixed 1:1, so no NAV or price oracle is published [S1].

Stablecoins

Users deposit fiat (BRL or USD) into Braza Bank accounts and receive stablecoins at a 1:1 ratio; redemptions burn tokens against fiat payouts. Issuance and lifecycle management run on the XRP Ledger. Revenue is generated through FX and payment flows across the Braza Bank / Braza On / Braza UK rails.

Braza issues two regulated stablecoins natively on the XRP Ledger: BBRL pegged 1:1 to the Brazilian Real and USDB pegged 1:1 to the U.S. Dollar. Both are fully backed by reserves at Braza Bank and used primarily for cross-border payments, FX settlement, and access to USD-denominated savings in Latin America. BBRL processed over $1B in payments in Q3 2025.

Braza Group is a Brazilian financial services group operating Braza Bank S.A. (Banco de Cambio, authorized by the Central Bank of Brazil), the Braza On digital multicurrency account, and Braza UK (FCA-regulated EMI in London). The group has 15+ years of operating history and ranks 6th in Brazil's interbank FX market per BACEN.
