What is Render Network?
Render Network is a protocol that facilitates a compute marketplace between GPU providers and GPU requestors. Render Network was founded by Jules Urbach and launched publicly in 2020.How does Render Network work?
GPU providers ('Node Operators') register their GPUs on the Render Network and receive computing fees from GPU requestors ('Creators'), when a computing request is fulfilled (supply-side fees). Currently computing jobs are limited to rendering jobs using OTOY's OctaneRender.Who governs Render Network?
RNDR holders own and govern the protocol. They do not currently take a cut of the total computing fees paid by creators (revenue). Render Network is backed by parent company OTOY, inc., and their investors include Multicoin Capital, Solana Foundation, Kenetic etc.The values in this graphic are examples and do not reflect actual values.
