# RayBot Fees Methodology

## 1. Overview

Raybot fees represents the total daily fees collected by the Raybot protocol on Solana, measured in USD. This metric captures revenue generated by the protocol by identifying native SOL transfers sent to designated fee collection addresses. The calculation aggregates these transfers daily, converts amounts from Solana's native lamports unit to SOL tokens, and applies USD pricing to provide a standardized fee measurement.

## 2. Data sources

- **Solana native transfers**: Parsed native SOL transfer events from the Solana blockchain, capturing all transfers of the native SOL token between addresses
- **End-of-day price feeds**: Daily SOL/USD price data used for currency conversion
- **Token Terminal metadata**: Protocol configuration data for Raybot including chain availability and validation rules

## 3. Step-by-step calculation

### Component A: Raw fee extraction
- **Purpose**: Identifies SOL transfers that represent fees paid to the Raybot protocol
- **Logic**: Filters Solana native transfer events to include only transfers where the recipient address is the hardcoded Raybot fee collection address `4mih95RmBqfHYvEfqq6uGGLp1Fr3gVS3VNSEa3JVRfQK`. Excludes transfers where the sender is also a fee account to avoid counting internal protocol transfers. Each transfer includes the `block_timestamp`, `transaction_id`, sender address as `signer`, and transfer `amount` in lamports
- **Key fields**: `block_timestamp` for timing, `transaction_signer` for the fee payer, `amount` in lamports (Solana's smallest unit), and hardcoded `token_address` set to SOL's canonical address

### Component B: Daily aggregation and unit conversion
- **Purpose**: Converts raw lamport amounts to SOL tokens and aggregates by day
- **Logic**: Groups the filtered transfer events by day using timestamp truncation, along with `chain`, `product_id`, and `token_address`. Sums the transfer amounts and divides by 1e9 to convert from lamports (Solana's atomic unit) to whole SOL tokens. The chain is hardcoded as 'solana' and `token_address` is set to SOL's standard address `So11111111111111111111111111111111111111112`
- **Key fields**: Daily `timestamp`, aggregated `fees` amount in SOL units, `chain_id` as 'solana', and `token_address` for SOL

### Component C: USD conversion
- **Purpose**: Converts daily SOL fee amounts to USD using market prices
- **Logic**: Applies Token Terminal's standard USD conversion methodology using end-of-day SOL price feeds. The conversion uses the `convert_to_usd_and_correct_decimals` macro with USD conversion enabled and decimal correction disabled since amounts are already in proper SOL units
- **Key fields**: `fees_usd` containing the USD-denominated daily fee amounts

### Final aggregation
- **Combining components**: The calculation flows linearly from raw transfer extraction through daily aggregation to USD conversion, with each step building on the previous
- **Currency conversion**: Uses end-of-day SOL/USD prices applied to daily aggregated SOL amounts
- **Time aggregation**: Daily boundaries determined by timestamp truncation to day granularity, with all transfers within a calendar day summed together
- **Final calculation**: The final metric represents the total USD value of SOL transferred to Raybot's fee collection address each day, processed through Token Terminal's standard validation and gap-filling methodology that applies zero values for days with no fee activity

*This methodology was automatically generated by Token Terminal's methodology analyzer.*
