Users transact on an EVM-compatible L2 secured by Proof-of-Proof consensus, which publishes state data to Bitcoin, while cross-chain Tunnels enable asset transfers between Bitcoin, Ethereum, and Hemi.

Hemi is a modular Layer-2 protocol that supercharges Bitcoin and Ethereum by treating them as components of a unified supernetwork. It enables full EVM compatibility with native Bitcoin interoperability through the hVM (Hemi Virtual Machine), allowing developers to build applications that access both ecosystems. Hemi aims to maximize the utility of both networks by providing superior scaling, security, and cross-chain interoperability.

Developers and users seeking an EVM-compatible Layer 2 that combines Bitcoin's security with Ethereum's programmability.
