TrueUSDTUSD
TUSD, issued by Techteryx Ltd., is a fiat-collateralized, U.S. dollar (USD) pegged stablecoin in continuous operation since 2018, designed to maintain a 1:1 peg to the USD with reserve backing for all tokens in public circulation. Each TUSD token tracks the U.S. dollar (USD) at a 1:1 ratio, with fiat deposits held by independent third-party Banking Partners as cash, cash equivalents and other investments. No interest is paid on funds held in TUSD accounts; the operator may retain interest or investment returns on reserves to support administrative and operational costs. The issuer charges no fees for minting and redemption, though onchain transfers incur network gas fees not set by the issuer. Techteryx Ltd. operates the TrueUSD brand, and its documentation states that TUSD accounts are not bank or deposit accounts, that TUSD tokens are not bank deposits, are not legal tender, and are not financial instruments, and that reserves are not insured by any third party or government agency. It warns that TUSD services may not constitute regulated financial services in some jurisdictions. Minting and redemption are limited to eligible, verified customers who complete KYC and AML screening. Verified users redeem TUSD at a $1,000 minimum to a unique redemption address, with the Banking Partner generally wiring funds within one business day. TUSD is an ERC-20 token natively deployed on Ethereum, BNB Smart Chain, TRON (TRC-20) and Avalanche, with bridged availability on Polygon, Arbitrum, Cronos, Optimism and Aurora. Minting and redemption use smart contracts with real-time onchain verification of reserve coverage, settling within one business day of fund receipt. Reserves are attested daily by Moore Hong Kong and published via Chainlink Proof of Reserve.
