Datasets allow you to customize any of the datasets built by Token Terminal.

These datasets give you a table-first view to the data, allowing you to filter, group, and sort the data in a way that makes sense for your analysis.

Creating datasets

The first step in creating a dataset is selecting a template.

You can do this by clicking the Create new button under the Datasets tab in Studio.

After that you can aggregate and add or remove columns to the dataset.

Dataset

If you want to change from the dataset you chose previously, you can do it here.

Group by

Next, you can aggregate the data by one of the following options:

  • Market sector: Aggregate the data by market sector, e.g. Lending.
  • Project: Aggregate the data by project, e.g. Aave.
  • Listing date: Aggregate the data by listing date, e.g. 2023-01-01.

Columns

You can select which columns you want to include in the dataset.

You can also change the order of the columns by dragging and dropping them in the list.

Working with datasets

After you’ve saved the dataset, you have a number of options for working with your dataset.

You can also find the dataset in your library under the Datasets tab.

Share

You can share your dataset with others by clicking the Share button in the top right corner of the dataset editor. This will generate a unique URL that you can share with anyone.

Clone

You can clone any Studio dataset on Token Terminal, whether it’s from your team or not. Clicking Clone will open up the dataset editor with a fresh copy of the dataset that you can now adapt for your own needs.

Preview

With Preview, you can see how your dataset will look when added to a dashboard. This is a great way to check that your dataset is configured correctly before adding it to a dashboard.
