### What it is

Zest Protocol is a Bitcoin-native lending protocol built on Stacks that enables BTC holders to earn yield or borrow against their Bitcoin. The protocol uses on-chain smart contracts deployed on Stacks to facilitate collateralized lending and borrowing, with security audits from Clarity Alliance and Thesis Defense. Zest launched on Stacks mainnet in March 2024 and is actively expanding toward native Bitcoin support.
