## About

### What it is

StreamEx issues GLDY, a yield-bearing gold-backed tokenized security on the Base blockchain. Each GLDY token represents one fine troy ounce of physical gold, with up to 95% of the backing bullion actively leased to generate yield for token holders. The platform integrates Chainlink Proof of Reserves for real-time reserve verification and CCIP for cross-chain transfers.

### Who uses it

StreamEx is a Cayman Islands-based fintech company specializing in blockchain-enabled gold investment products for accredited investors and institutions.

### How it works

StreamEx generates yield through gold leasing partnerships with Monetary Metals, where physical gold held in custody is lent to eligible businesses in the gold ecosystem such as refiners and mints. Lessees pay lease fees denominated and settled in gold, allowing GLDY holders to earn yield in real metal terms. The token targets up to 3.5% APY paid monthly in additional GLDY.
