Stable (StableChain) is a Layer 1 blockchain backed by Bitfinex and supported by PayPal Ventures, Franklin Templeton, and other investors. The project raised $28 million in seed funding and launched its mainnet on December 8, 2025.

### How it works

StableChain uses Tether's USDT as the native token for gas fees and settlement, enabling gas-free peer transfers and sub-second finality. The blockchain is designed for seamless financial transactions, targeting peer-to-peer payments, remittances, and cross-border transactions.
